I became interested in art when, as a child, I used to watch my uncle Harry (H. H. Abbott) paint. He often encouraged me by providing materials and guidance, so that we sometimes painted together. My uncle was only an amateur, however he did follow some art courses when he was young. I continued painting only occasionally and never had formal training. This means that the works I am showcasing might appear good for the non-versed but likely have some technical flaws which a professional artist will readily identify. Being an amateur, however, should not discourage one from pursuing one’s interests and sharing one’s works with others.

Below is a selection of my drawings and paintings, some done many years ago. Many are undated but I can still recall when they were produced, and hence the period (if not the year) is still given along with brief remarks.
